TWIC- chess.com Speed Chess Final 2025 - Games and Results 08/02/2026chess.com Speed Chess Final 2025 took place in person in London 7th to 8th February 2026. The was hosted by Chess.com's server. Magnus Carlsen won the event by defeating Denis Lazavik in the semifinals and Alireza Firouzja in the final. Lazavik beat Hikaru Nakamura to 3rd place.Mark Crowther

Like most clubs in the league now Chelmsford play in a social club. Members join the social club (£15 a year) as well as the chess club (£10 a year). This means we can meet all year round as there is no charge to use the venue. If anyone is in Chelmsford on a Thursday evening please feel free to pop down for a game or a drink.

I joined as a novice 20 years ago and what has never changed, even when it’s venue has, is what a welcoming friendly club it is.
Players of all levels always willing to shake hands, play chess and share ideas.
