{"id":2078,"date":"2017-06-12T21:29:46","date_gmt":"2017-06-12T20:29:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/clactonchess.org.uk\/wordpress\/?p=2078"},"modified":"2018-06-27T13:36:36","modified_gmt":"2018-06-27T12:36:36","slug":"2017-peter-keffler-shield-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/clactonchess.org.uk\/wordpress\/2017-peter-keffler-shield-update\/","title":{"rendered":"2017 Peter Keffler Shield Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The annual 8 round Swiss competition will run from 6th to 27th June 2017.<br \/>\nTwo Rapid play games per night through June with a time control of 40mins per player.<br \/>\nA maximum of 2 half point byes may be awarded to absent players.<br \/>\nA full point bye will be given to non-paired players and count as a played game.<br \/>\nIf leaders are tied, a winner will be decided by the results of direct encounters.<br \/>\nIf that does not provide a winner the trophy will be shared.<br \/>\nFrom this season, results from the shield no longer count towards the club ladder.<br \/>\nThe outright winner will be awarded the Peter Keffler Shield and be \u201cClub Champion\u201d.<br \/>\nAn Improver shield will be awarded for the best player performance relative to grade.<br \/>\nPlayers need 6 played games to qualify.
